CHALLENGE —

SagaCity Media Inc. is the parent company of the preeminent lifestyle media brands in Portland, Seattle, Houston, Sarasota, Aspen, Vail, and Park City. In their respective markets, Portland MonthlySeattle MetHoustonia, and Sarasota produce the largest-selling magazines, and most-visited local lifestyle websites.

When SagaCity wanted to take their annual Portland-based food festival Cowabunga! to the next level and introduce the flagship event to the Seattle market, we helped them realize this goal: 5 events. 3 days. 120 chefs.

SOLUTION —

Planning an unforgettable food festival in the middle of Downtown Seattle, facilitating everything from location logistics, and chef acquisition to ticketing, staffing, planning programmings takes a team with CAD mapping, food permitting knowledge and experience overseeing bar licensing.

RESULTS —

The region’s most notable chefs and ascendant stars, from Seattle to the San Juan Islands, cooked up signature dishes around each event’s theme. Friday’s Surf ’n’ Turf fest kicked things off with seafood alongside slabs o' meat and a bourbon cocktail battle. Next, Saturday brought smoky brisket and craft brews with the Beer ’n’ BBQ event, followed by Seared, a night of “steak and cake” that evoked a swanky steak house with Snake River Farms Wagyu and a baking competition. Finally, things wrapped up on Sunday with the Burger Bash, a smorgasbord of bun-wrapped patties from favorites like Li’l Woody’s and Little Big Burger.
